I have been practicing law for more than 33 years. Practicing criminal
law is both a privilege and an honor. It is a vocation wherein one can
truly help those who are unfortunate enough to have the power and the
weight of the federal or state government being brought to bear against
them in a criminal procedure.
I believe that it is the sworn duty of a defense attorney to aggressively
protect each client's rights and to defend them to the fullest extent
that the law will allow. It is equally important that each client and
their families are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Furthermore,
I believe that a client is to be kept apprised of all developments in
their case and that the client be truthfully advised of the realities
of their case.
I am graduate of Pacific Coast University School of Law and have a Juris
Doctorate degree. I have served this country in both the U.S. Army Reserve
and the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. I served for approximately 2 years as
a Judge Pro Tem in the West Orange County Superior Court. I am licensed
to practice before all of the courts of the State of California as well
as the United States District Courts for the Central, East and Southern
Districts of California and the United States Supreme Court. In 2007 my
peers named me the Attorney of the Year for the Southeast District Bar
Association. In that same year I was honored by the City of La Mirada
as the Attorney of the year. I served 11 years as Commissioner on the
Public Safety Commission of the City of La Mirada, California.
